Offers energy efficiency loans to homeowners, businesses, and farmers for repairs and improvements that will maintain or add value to the property. Works in partnership with Opportunities Credit Union, EastRise Credit Union and NeighborWorks of Western Vermont on affordable financing for energy improvements.

Constructs energy efficient, affordable homes in partnership with eligible families. The houses are sold to the partner families at cost, with no profit and no interest. Costs are kept low by using donated materials and volunteer labor.

Provides a drop-in community center that offers opportunities to socialize and to access support for help with acquiring supported employment, access to education and housing, peer support, and opportunities to explore holistic health and wellness. Also provides packed meals to go. During the winter months, the center offers extended hours to provide a warm space for individuals to congregate until the overnight shelter opens its doors.

Provides transportation to senior meals, medical appointments including hospital visits to Central Vermont Medical Center and Dartmouth, as well as shopping and the Mad River Valley Food Shelf. Offers transportation volunteer opportunities.

Coordinates/Provides transportation to medical appointments, as well as dental, vision, counseling, prescription pick-up, and other covered transportation services for eligible Medicaid recipients. Offers community (volunteer) driving opportunities.

Provides an interactive decision support process that helps individuals in need of long term care and their families understand their strengths, needs, preferences and unique circumstances and weigh the pros and cons of available alternatives. The consultation includes a discussion of the factors to consider when making long term care decisions, information about the range of long term care support options available in their community (such as personal care, transportation and medication management) and resources that can help them pay for services. Maintains a regional listing of in-home assistance providers available to assist seniors with continuing to live independently at home.

Provides safe, confidential, temporary emergency shelter and supportive services.

Provides emergency housing in a motel or hotel.

Provides small, limited, community food services. Residents encouraged to take what they need and/or donate what they can in support of the pantry.

Operates a thrift shop that offers gently used clothing, household goods and baby furniture. Offers clothing to individuals and families in need at no cost.

Provides assistance for people who need housing including information and guidance about rental costs; how to select affordable housing that meets individual needs; and how to provide for insurance, utility costs, and other requirements related to paying for housing. Coordinates with other providers in the community to help individuals and families obtain or maintain housing. May offer limited financial assistance with rent, rental deposit, and other payments. Also provides information on tenant rights and responsibilities.

Provides assistance with locating, securing and maintaining permanent, affordable housing and will provide intensive case management individually tailored to meet the needs of each family. Counselors work with families to assess needs and to establish housing goals. Provides information and guidance about rental costs, renter responsibilities, how to select affordable housing that meets individual needs, and how to budget for insurance, utility costs and other requirements related to paying for housing. Also provides tenant rights information and landlord/tenant mediation as part of individualized case management.

Provides supplies and other community necessities after a disaster. Supplies include, flood buckets, shovels, brooms, water, hygiene products, and PPE. Meals are also available and access to a public shower.

Pays a portion of home heating bills for households meeting income eligibility requirements. Seasonal Fuel Assistance is not designed to cover all of the costs of heating a home or apartment. Active Seasonal Fuel households are eligible for free weatherization services.

Offers home internet service and personal computer purchase at reduced rates to qualifying families with children in school.

Allows qualified people who have Section 8 Rental Vouchers to convert them into Home Ownership Vouchers, which assists with meeting monthly home ownership expenses, such as mortgage, taxes, and insurance.

Provides primary and preventive health care, including diagnosis and treatment of illness in children, adolescents and adults. Services include primary medical care such as physical health examinations, acute and chronic health screenings, laboratory testing, and birth control counseling. Provides onsite coordinated primary care, mental health services, and substance abuse services to enhance access to appropriate prevention, treatment, recovery and wellness services and activities. Programs for health maintenance and public health awareness services are also offered. Also provides ready to eat and frozen meals distributed by Grateful Hearts Manchester - a non -profit food organization.

Offers an emergency financial program to assist on a case-by-case basis.

Provides a webpage with a map of Vermont divided into towns. Each town is color-coded to indicate which Solid Waste Management District (SWMD) covers that town. The key to the map provides the phone numbers for all the SWMDs. The website itself (as well as individual SWD websites) contains important information about hazardous waste disposal, including how to properly dispose of such items as computers, tires, and batteries. The website also provides detailed information about Act 148, Vermont's Universal Recycling Law, which covers how to comply with the law's requirements on how to dispose of plastic, paper, yard debris, clean wood, food scraps, and other organic materials.

Offers a substance free environment for peer support, recovery coaching, educational programs, information and referral to needed services such as recovery housing, transportation services and medication assisted treatment. Maintains a 24/7 harm reduction vending machine located on the porch which distributes free items to the public, including naloxone, fentanyl and xylazine test strips, wound care kits, and personal hygiene items. Provides socializing opportunities, recreational activities, and meeting space for a variety of recovery meetings.
