CHILD SAFE PROGRAMS | UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT MEDICAL CENTER

Identifies, treats and supports children who are suspected to have experienced or are at risk of experiencing abuse and neglect. Conducts multidisciplinary evaluations of children in the hospital and in the Child Safe Clinic on an urgent and routine basis. A core goal of this program is to ensure that all children who are suspected of being maltreated receive standardized, appropriate medical care and psychosocial support to address their medical and safety needs.
