Provides play opportunities for parents and children to enable parents with young children to get together. A play group facilitator sets up play space with developmentally stimulating activities and acts as a resource for parents by providing advice, information about available resources, and community events.

Provides weekly playgroups for families with young children. Snacks are provided. Playgroups are held in Brandon, Castleton, Mount Holly, and Rutland.

Offers support groups for parents and caregivers on a variety of topics. Some groups are open to all, while others focus on people with particular needs (mothers, fathers, foster parents, people raising toddlers, people raising teens).

Provides drop-in parent-child interactive play programs with parent education and support, including Family Play Program with ESL classes for caregivers, projects to promote cross-cultural relationships, and a summer gardening/outdoor education component. Offers parents an opportunity to meet with other parents on a social basis, while children are given the opportunity to interact with peers. Playgroups are located in many communities and support and education is provided to parents who wish to start playgroups in their towns.

Maintains an online community calendar providing information about parent/child activities, family entertainment, special events, and ideas for family fun in northern Vermont. Calendar listings include weekend events, after-school activities, camps, festivals, story times and much more. Maintains listing of doula services.

Provides parents, caregivers, and children with opportunities for socialization, peer support, parenting information, child socialization, and resource sharing in a developmentally appropriate setting with an early childhood facilitator. Also includes early developmental screening.

Provides advocacy for early childhood service delivery system improvements from local communities to both the Building Bright Futures Council and the legislature. Each council provides information about regularly scheduled opportunities for parents to participate in a wide variety of recreational activities. All councils serve as local hubs of information for early childhood and family resource networks.

Community-based, professionally facilitated open play times are offered to children and their grown-ups.

Offers playgroups designed specifically to allow fathers and masculine-identifying caregivers to connect with one another while engaging in healthy play with their children. Groups have met at local playgrounds, coffee shops, the Winooski Family Center, and Fletcher Free library.
