Provides a safe, welcoming place for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis as an alternative to emergency department care. Offers immediate help in the form of mental health support, peer support, and referrals to other community services. Also provides an overnight alternative to hospitalization.

NOTE: The Center is currently closed but services are still provided at other locations listed in Relevant Notes. Provides a peer-run, drop-in mental health community center. Offers services such as: daily lunch (Lunch is on hold until site can be located), workshops, peer-to-peer support circles, social gatherings, computer access, and a public shower. (Check to see if on Hold.) Volunteers may be trained to offer peer support, and/or staff community center. Peer-run mental health supports offered online; some are also in person in temporary locations. See Relevant Notes below

Provides an infrastructure for developing and maintaining a statewide mental health peer support workforce. Evaluates statewide peer workforce needs, facilitates awareness and participation by providing resources and information to peer support workers, and ensures the availability of peer support worker training.

Offers immediate help in the form of mental health support, peer counseling, assistance with medications, as well as access to nursing for minor medical issues, and referrals to other community services.

Provides a free nationwide peer-support helpline service providing information, resource referrals, and support to teens and young adults. Operated by trained peers who have experienced mental health issues.

Connects people experiencing both mental health issues and homelessness with existing services and resources. Based on an Intentional Peer Support approach. Provides access to a mental health therapist if desired.

Offers peer support for individuals who are having mental health and substance abuse challenges while returning to the community. Tasks may include assisting their peers in articulating their goals for recovery and learning and practicing new skills, helping them monitor their progress, supporting them in their treatment, modeling effective coping techniques and self help strategies based on their own recovery experience, and supporting them in advocating for themselves to obtain effective services.

Provides a helpline that gives information, resource referrals and support to people living with a mental health condition, their family members and caregivers, mental health providers and the public.
