As appropriate, NCMEC case management teams create and distribute posters, review leads received on 1-800-THE-LOST, communicate with federal authorities, provide peer support, resources, and empowerment from trained volunteers who have experienced a missing child incident in their own family, and provide families with access to referrals they may use to help process any emotional or counseling needs.

Receives donations to purchase winter outerwear that is provided to area children via referrals from local child care providers, teachers, and school nurses.

Provides age-appropriate services in a home-style dwelling that include individual, family, and group therapy; accredited K-12 educational services; medication management; and substance abuse assessment and treatment.

Offers an online resource for parents answering questions about Internet safety, computers, and the Web. NetSmartzKids is a website for kids about online safety, including helpful videos, games, and activities. NSTeens provides content especially designed for pre-teens and teens.

Coordinates a statewide public education campaign and engages in early childhood care and education legislative advocacy. Let's Grow Kids is committed to raising awareness and understanding of the importance of development during the earliest years in the lives of Vermont's children.

Provides care coordination and family training on palliative care principals, medical treatment regimens, medical equipment use, how to provide in-home care, and expressive therapies (art, music, and play). Pediatric palliative care may also include skilled respite and family grief counseling/bereavement counseling, both during the patient's life and for up to six months in the event of the patient's death.

Early literacy program that provides high-quality books to children from birth to age five. Enrolled children receive a free book in the mail every month.

Educates families about preventing abduction and empowers kids in grades K-5 to practice safer behaviors. This program offers resources to help parents, caregivers, and teachers protect kids by teaching and practicing the 4 Rules of Personal Safety using classroom lessons, at-home lessons, parent tips, and fun printable activities.

Provides monetary grants of up to $5,000 (with a lifetime maximum of $10,000 per child) toward a family's share of the cost of medical services when gaps in a family's commercial health benefit plan mean that a child may go without necessary treatment, or when the child receives care and the family assumes a large amount of debt. Offers home inspections to assess the safety of the environment in which a minor child may be residing or visiting. Most often this service is requested by an agency, court, or custodial parent prior to approving in-home parent/child contact or overnight visits.

Provides direct financial assistance in the form of grants to either assist with medical bill payment, costs of transportation to treatments and therapies, purchase of medications and medical care needs, and other unexpected expenditures. The grants may also be used to meet regular household expenses during a time when a medical emergency disrupts the ability to budget for all expenses.
