Provides the skills needed to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and helps connect them to the appropriate care. Also includes information about mental health crises and risks for suicide. Separate courses are geared to different audiences: Mental Health First Aid is for adults, such as first responders, faith leaders, and caring adults; Youth Mental Health First Aid is for adults working with youth; and Teen Mental Health First Aid for high school students and youth-serving organizations.
